Samba Percussion Workshops

Scroll down to see the registration form!

Come and join us!

At the workshop, you'll be introduced to basic playing techniques, get the chance to try out each instrument, and learn to play Brazilian-inspired rhythms and breaks, all taught by experienced AKSamba members. Whether you're looking for a brief introduction to samba percussion or are interested in joining AKSamba*, we invite you to come along for the guaranteed fun! No prior musical experience is needed and we'll supply all the instruments.

Because of elevated noise levels, our workshops are not open to under 16s.

Spaces are limited so bookings are essential. Keep informed of the details of our workshops by joining the AKSamba Friends e-mail list.

You can book using the registration form below.

  • When: Saturday 14th August 2010
  • Time: 10am to 3pm
  • Where: Auckland Bowling Club on Grafton Mews off of Stanley St. in Parnell next to Auckland Domain
  • Cost: $70 including pizza lunch (vegetarians catered for) / $65 without lunch
  • Earplugs are included in the course fee

*Because spaces in AKSamba are limited, unfortunately taking a course does not guarantee you a spot in the group.
